Email Notification List/Halloween Event NEWS

Hi everybody,
We are now offering two options for Email notifications. Please email hobbit@avian.org if you wish to be added to either list and begin to be informed about Martins Pond issues.
 
Martins Pond Announcements – this list you will receive announcements and news only and you will not be able to reply, nor will anyone else.  This list is ideal for those of you who receive too many emails and do not want to hear or engage in discussions.  It is also for our legislators, and other entities interested in our activities on a more periodic basis.
 
Martins Pond Discussions – this list, can be used for replies to announcements and neighborhood discussions of issues, but you must follow the rules: The discussion list is not to be used for political ads, jokes, sales or give-a-way items, issues other than pond related issues, or advertisements of any kind.
 
Please be careful with language.  Name calling is bad manners.  Sometimes in discussion some unusual opinions will surface.  Comment carefully. The discussions list is a very important way to discuss things as we have in the past like crime, paving issues, ideas for improvement of the pond, lost and found boats and cats, and especially during floods.  
 

We are holding our 13th Annual, yup 13th!  Children’s Haunted Playground Saturday October 20th 5:30-9PM at Clarke Park
Volunteers always needed.  Most pond associations have memberships and dues.  We do not.  We want everyone included. We only hold our fundraisers and search for grants and work with the Town for our money. So if you want to support our efforts, come to our events, and help out in some way if you can.
 
Here are dates/times when your help could be of assistance.  Can you give us 2 hours in any time slot???  Volunteering counts as community service if your high schooler needs hours.  Children in Elementary School must volunteer to work with their parent.  Middle Schoolers can volunteer but parent must email me to give permission.  High Schoolers can call or email me themselves.  Actor and volunteer meeting will be at Clarke Park 5PM October 14th, rain or shine.
 
WHEN DO WE NEED YOU? PICK A WAY TO HELP…
Sunday October 14th Noon to 4PM painting/building sets at the Wheeler Barn at Ipswich River Park, rain or shine.
 
Friday October 19th 7:30 PM to 8:30PM packing up the truck at the Wheeler Barn.
 
Saturday October 20th 9AM to 4PM Decorating, building sets, building graveyard
 
Saturday October 20th 5-9PM  Acting, Tour Guides, Food, Games, Parking and Security.
 
Sunday October 21st 11-3PM break down and clean up.
 
We also sell baked goods at the event and many of you have baked brownies and cookies in the past. They always sell out so if baking is your talent we’d love some baked donations.  Bring to the park at 4:30Pm on October 20th. Cookies package of 3, Brownies about 3by3 inch individually wrapped.
 
Carved Pumpkin Contest – donate a carved pumpkin for our pumkin patch. Bring it to the park between 9:30 and11:30 October 20th. Best carved pumpkin wins 4 tickets plus $10 food coupon.  All ages.  You can retrieve your pumpkin after the event.
