Hi, We could use more volunteers for painting day in order to get it all done. We have about a dozen so far but have a lot to do. We could use double that. We hope to paint the train, plane, rocket ship, pirate ship, pavilion, and stain all the picnic tables, tot swings, sign and shelters. THAT’S A LOT!!! We are trying to make this year’s pumpkin display the biggest ever at the Children’s Haunted Playground. If you want to help, bring a carved pumpkin to Clarke Park on the day of the event, October 22nd, between 10AM and 12 Noon. Our Pumpkin Coordinator, Paula Mastro, will accept your pumpkin and put it on display. Please provide a candle if you can, but not essential. Hi, We are holding our first planning meeting for the Children’s Haunted Playground on September 8th, Thursday night, at 7:30PM. Email Janet Nicosia for location. We will be tossing around ideas on skits, talking about logistics, games, acts, etc. The food group will hold their own planning meetings, so this is just regarding security, advertising, set up, entertainment, crowd control, new ideas, etc. Anyone is welcome to join the planning committee for this event.
